The American Red Cross of Central South Carolina is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.  It was established in 1917 and is one of 11 Red Cross Chapters in South Carolina.  It serves over 1,000,000 people in eleven counties including: Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda and Sumter.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency. Our programs rely on financial support and voluntary service from generous citizens in our community.
