Welcome to the Upper Palmetto Chapter
The Upper Palmetto Chapter of the American Red Cross has been a chartered chapter of the American Red Cross since June 9, 1917.  Our ability to successfully serve our community for almost 90 years, has been made possible by the generosity of our talented volunteers and financial supporters.  The Upper Palmetto Chapter serves residents of the York, Chester and Lancaster counties of South Carolina.

Our Mission
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Chapter Services

Disaster Relief  -  The chapter responds to disasters of all sizes and types.  From a single family house fire or to massive flooding, the Upper Palmetto Chapter is there to help.  For more information on disaster relief contact our Emergency Services Director – Gina Amato  (803) 329-6575 ext. 224.

Health and Safety - Classes such as CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Babysitter Training and more are available for all skill levels through the Upper Palmetto Chapter.  For more information on health and safety classes contact our Director of Health and Safety Services – Stephanie White (803) 329-6575 ext. 228.

Service to Armed Forces (SAF) - When service-persons are stationed far from home, it can be difficult for their families to contact them when emergencies occur and to arrange for travel.  The American Red Cross assists the members of the military, their families, and retired service-persons with these kinds of issues and more.  For more information on SAF contact the chapter.  If you are in need of services contact – Gina Amato (803) 329-6575 ext, 224.

Blood Services - The Upper Palmetto Chapter works with the American Red Cross Carolinas Blood Region in Charlotte, NC, to collect blood and plasma through weekly local blood drives.  For information on when and where blood drives occur locally, contact the chapter.
