Our Health & Safety Programs
Would you know what to do in an emergency? Red Cross First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) courses teach you valuable, life-saving skills you will need during an emergency. All of our courses are easy-to-understand and skill practice sessions ensure you are ready to act in a life-threatening situation.
Courses include:
Adult CPR with First Aid
Learn how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. An Adult CPR course without the first aid component is also offered.
Adult, Infant and Child CPR with First Aid
The course trains individuals how to help prevent and recognize the symptoms of sudden illness and injury, and how to provide basic care. The training also gives participants the knowledge and skills to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children until more advanced medical personnel arrive and takes over. This class is perfect for child-care workers, expectant parents, grandparents, or anyone who cares for children and infants.
AED Training (Automated External Defibrillator)
The course is added to many of our Adult and Child CPR classes to enhance life-saving skills, but may been taken separately as well. Individuals are trained on when an AED is necessary and how to operate an AED in case of a sudden cardiac emergency.
Babysitter Training
The course is designed for children 11 years and up who want to learn how to properly babysit children. The student will learn how to provide a safe environment, appropriate toys for children of different ages, basic first aid skills, leadership, and how to market their babysitting services.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer
Teach professional rescuers (those with a duty to respond to life-threatening emergencies) the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adult, infants and children. This course contains more advanced knowledge and skills than our Adult, Infant and Child CPR courses.
Emergency Response
Lectures, discussion and simulated emergency situations give course participants the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a first responder in an emergency. First responders are individuals who have a duty to respond and provide a crucial link in the emergency medical services system.
First Aid Basics
Introduces participants to the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies.
Pet First Aid
The course teaches basic first aid techniques for dogs and cats due to common illness. Learn to identify life-threatening conditions, how to care for your pet and understand what is a ‘normal' condition for your furry friend.
